SBI SO 2018 Notification has been finally released by State Bank of India. SBI SO 2018-19 will be conducted to select eligible candidates to the post of Specialist Officer in various branches of State Bank of India. SBI SO recruitment 2018 started with the release of SBI SO Notification. Candidates are required to apply online for the post of Specialist Officer. Online Application started from 16th January 2018 and will end on 4th February 2018.
The Specialist Officer in SBI is recruited both on a regular and contract basis. Interested candidates can fill in the online application form for SBI SO Exam. The posts offered through SBI SO Exam are:
• Chief Manager
• Digital System Architect
• Analyst
• UI/UX Designer etc.


The eligibility criteria are different for different positions that are filled through SBI SO 2018 exam. A candidate must fulfil the eligibility criteria for different positions for which they have applied in order to qualify for further processes.

Department Educational Qualification Age Limit Experience
For Deputy Manager (Internal Audit) CA degree from a Institute of Chartered Accountant of India. Preference will be given to CISA. Min 21 years & Max 35 years Minimum 2 years experience in statutory/internal/ Concurrent Audit of Banks, in/with a Chartered Accountant firm engaged in statutory/internal/Concurrent Audit of Banks or in employment of a Bank. Experience Certificate issued by the firms for employees working in CA firms/Copy of the engagement letter from Banks for others, would be required. Specific Skills required: Working Knowledge in MS Office.


Candidates are selected through an interview process for different posts filled through SBI SO 2018-19.The Interview Process is conducted for the candidates selected through online test. The qualifying marks will be decided by State Bank of India. A candidate is required to bring all the necessary documents for the interview process.


SBI finally released official notification for SBI SO 2017-18 Exam. Candidates can apply online for SBI SO 2018 from 16th January 2018. The online application will end on 4th February 2018. The application needs to be submitted separately for different positions to be filled through SBI SO 2018 Exam. The process of filling out the application form is same as that of the other Bank Exams. Let’s have a look at all the steps one by one.

Step 1: Click on NEW REGISTRATION button provided on the top most right corner of the home page of the link provided above.
Step 2: Start your application process fro SBI SO 2018 by providing the basic details such as name, contact number, email id, address etc. and click on save and next button.
Step 3:Upload your photograph and signature in the required format as provided by State Bank of India. The permissible size of the photograph must be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm and the photograph must be of passport size. Both the photograph and the signature must be clear and legible. Permissible file size of photograph must be of minimum 20 KB and of maximum 50 KB and that of the signature must be of minimum 10 KB and of maximum 20 KB.
Step 4: Fill in your academic details and professional qualification in this step of your online application process. Click on save and next button after filling in the details.
Step 5: Preview your application form one last time as you won’t be allowed to make any changes further. Click on save and next button after previewing your Application Form.
Step 6: Pay your Application Fee through Online Payment Option, i.e. through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
Step 7: Click on Final Submit Button. Your application form will be submitted successfully. You will be sent an email as well as a text message with your registration ID and password by SBI for further login into the official website.

Before Applying for SBI SO 2018, a candidate must have the following things ready to avoid any last time glitched in the online application process:
 Candidates must have Photograph and Signature Ready before applying for SBI SO 2018 Online Application
 Candidates must NOT sign in CAPITAL LETTERS as it won’t be accepted.
 Keep all necessary documents ready at the time of Online Payment of the Application Fee
 Valid Email ID must be provided at the time of Registration


An application fee of Rs 600/- is required to be paid by candidates belonging to General and OBC category.The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 100/– for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.

SBI SO Application Form 2016: The application form for SBI Specialist Officer 2016 will be released tentatively in the 1st week of April 2016. All the aspirants will have to apply online to appear in the SBI Specialist Officer 2016 Exam to be held for the selection of Specialist Cadre Officer in State Bank of India. SBI SO Application Form will be accepted by the candidates only via online mode only. The online application process will continue for a period of 2-3 weeks and the exam is likely to be held in July 2016. The exact dates regarding the application process and exam will be notified in the official notice to be issued by the SBI. Aspirants are advised to go through the complete notification once it is released to ensure their eligibility for applying to the post the wish to. Candidates will be able to apply for only one post for which they must fulfill the eligibility criteria as on the date of eligibility.

All the applicants will be required to make the payment of application fee which will be non – refundable under any circumstance. The amount of fee to be paid is applicable as follows-

How to make payment of Fee: The applicants will have to pay the fee via online mode only viz. Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card etc.
Note: It is essential to note that the process of application will be considered as complete only when the fee will be deposited with the Bank through On-line mode on or before the last date for fee payment (to be mentioned in the official notice).

For the post of Deputy Manager (Internal Audit), the following exam pattern will be followed

Two Papers will be conducted. Paper 1 will be of 90 minutes and will comprise of 120 marks. The sections asked are Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning.
Paper 2 will have a subject dedicated completely to a candidate’s Professional Knowledge in his/her area of expertise. The paper will be of 50 marks and the total duration to complete this paper will be 45 minutes.
The result will be declared based on the total marks obtained by a candidate in both the papers. The selected candidates from the written test are finally called for the Interview Process. The final selection is done on a candidate’s performance in his/her Interview.

SBI SO Admit Card 2016: The admit card for SBI SO will be published online tentatively in the last week of May 2016. SBI SO Exam (online) is expected to be conducted by State Bank of India in June/ July 2016. The admit cum also referred as the call letter is an essential document which is required to be carried to the exam centre on the day of the exam in the physical form only. Hence, each and every registered aspirant will have to download/ print and bring along – with them to the exam centre. Point to Note– We would like to mention here clearly that no candidate will be issued their admit card through any other mode. All the newbies are suggested to not be in the impression that they will receive their SBI SO Hall Ticket at their doorstep by way of the post etc. Under any circumstances, no examiner will be permitted entry inside the examination hall on failure to produce their admit card at the gate.

Along-with the admit card, it is essential to bring one photo identity proof (in original as well as one xerox copy) while appearing in the exam.

The scale of pay for candidates being selected for the post of Deputy Manager (Internal Audit) is 31705-1145/1-32850-1310/10-45950.
