A brief on MHCET - 2019

MH CET 2019 state level entrance exam is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell. This exam is a gateway to get admission in Engineering, Pharmacy and Pharm. D courses. It is also known as MHT CET, through which candidates can get admission in various government and private institutions of the state of Maharashtra. MHCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

  1. Candidates who are citizens of India are eligible for MHT CET 2019
  2. Academic qualification - Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Vocational subjects as optional subject
  3. Minimum qualifying marks– Candidates must secure at least 50% in the subjects taken together. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates is 45%.


Candidates seeking admission in B.E./B.Tech courses through MHT CET 2019 are advised to solve sample papers. Solving MHT CET sample papers will make aspirants acquainted to the test pattern. Candidates will be able to analyse their preparation level and improve their weak areas. Through sample papers of MHT CET 2019 candidates will get an idea about the type of questions they can expect in the examination. DTE Maharashtra will tentatively announce result of MHT CET 2019 on or before June . Candidates have to check their result online as nobody’s result will be sent to them via post. MHT CET 2019 result will be declared only for those candidates who have taken the state level entrance test. Through the result of MHT CET 2019, DTE Maharashtra will release the rank card/score card of the candidates with their scores/ranks on it. Candidates have to download their MHT CET result 2019, take its printout and keep it safe with them.

How to download MHT CET 2019 result?

  2. Click on the link and enter MHT CET application number and date of birth
  3. Click on submit button and your result will be on your display

The merit list of MHT CET 2019 will be separately prepared and released by the exam authority, apart from the result of the entrance exam. MHT CET merit list 2019 is expected to be released in the third week of June 2019. Candidates will also get to file their grievances against the merit list of MHT CET 2018. Admission to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes of MHT CET 2019 will be offered based on the merit list/rank list of MHT CET 2019. DTE Maharashtra is expected to first release provisional merit list and then the final merit list of MHT CET 2019.

The counselling and seat allotment of MHT CET 2019 will commence tentatively in the first week of June 2019 and will be conducted in three rounds. MHT CET counselling 2019 will be Centralized Counselling Process (CAP). The admission committee may also hold an additional CAP round to fill vacant seats if the need arises. Counselling and seat allotment of MHT CET 2019 will be done according to the merit list of MHT CET 2018, with candidates placed higher getting precedence over lower ranked candidates.

During the counselling process, candidates have to participate in choice filling and locking. There are also options like freeze, slide, and float, which allow a candidate to be flexible with their options. After the final CAP round, candidates who have been allotted seats have to report at the institution finally allotted to them to confirm their seats.

  2. It is necessary for the candidate to register or confirm the online application form from the candidate login by visiting the website.
  3. The MH CET application form 2019 will be started from the second week of February 2019.
  4. The online application form can be filed till the fourth week of March 2019.
  5. Candidates have to provide all the details carefully and upload the scanned images of recent photograph and signature

  3. Generate your own password and keep it safe and remember it for all future communications.
  4. After successful registration, the candidates will have to fill the application form.
  5. The photograph and signature in Jpg/ Jpeg format have to be uploaded which should not be more than 50 KB in size.
  6. Pay Application Fee through Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. (Application Fee details are mentioned below).
  7. Submit the application form and take the printout of the confirmation page of the submitted application.
Note:Keep the printout of confirmation page of the submitted application safe with you. It should not be sent to DTE Maharashtra.
