Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), formerly the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), is a premier chemical technology research institute located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India It was established in 1933 and in 2008 the institute got deemed university status .Institute of Chemical Technology is the only deemed university in India that is funded by state.It is the most prestigious Engineering colleges in Mumbai.For the academic year 2017-2018, the Competent Authority for Admissions in the state of Maharashtra shall be granted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) this process consist three rounds.
Academic Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
12th Board Exam Marks: Candidate should have secured 50% marks aggregate in all the subjects (45 % marks, in case of reserve categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
JEE Main 2019 Score: Candidate should have obtained the rank in All India Rank in JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 given by CBSE.
The Institute of Chemical Technology admits candidates to various of its undergraduate courses on the following basis:Candidates applying to any undergraduate course in the ICT must be an Indian national. A candidate should have passed the HSSC or Class 12th Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or the Indian School Certi?cate Examination or any other equivalent Higher Secondary Examination of a recognized Council or Board outside Maharashtra.
The application forms for ICT Mumbai Admission can be downloaded from the ICT official website. Application forms will also be available for sale in the Accounts Section of the Institute of Chemical Technology. Candidates can also request for ICT Application forms to be send to them by Post. Payment of the application fee can be made online or offline by submitting a Demand Draft of Rs.900, drawn in favor of ‘‘The Director, Institute of Chemical Technology’’.
The Institute of Chemical Technology does not conduct a separate exam for admission into its undergraduate courses. Admission to the various B.Tech courses is done on the basis of the JEE or the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam and MT CET which is the Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test. 30% of the seats will be filled on the basis of the JEE Main Exam 2017, while 70 % of the seats will be filled on the basis of MT CET. Candidates belonging to the State of Maharashtra are also eligible for admission through AIEEE quota seats.
The Institute of Chemical Technology decides admission to its undergraduate courses on the basis of merit alone, which is determined by the marks secured by a candidate in the Qualifying Exam and entrance tests.
Admission to ICT Mumbai will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2019 and MT CET 2017. ICT does not conduct a separate exam of its own. Both JEE Main and MT CET will be objective tests.ICT MUMBAI SYLLABUS
The JEE Main Exam will cover topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the Class 11 and 12 Level. The MT CET will consist of questions from Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics at the plus two level.
