COMEDK has been released the official notification for UGET exam. It is state level exam conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for admission to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses. This year, COMEDK UGET 2019 is scheduled for May 12 in online (computer-based) mode.
Intermediate graduates from all over the country are eligible for the exam.
Application Fee for the exam is now INR 1300.
For those who wish to apply for both COMEDK and UniGAUGE, the new fee is INR 2100.
The exam is expected to be conducted across 300 Exam Centers for engineering programs which offer around 20000 seats.
As per the test pattern, the CBT will have MCQs in English only.
COMEDK is an option for NON-Karnataka Students to enter into Engineering colleges in Karnataka.
Whereas KCET is solely for locals who have at least 7 years study certificate in Karnataka.
The main difference is the cost, KCET seats in Govt and Govt. Aided Engg. Colleges like UVCE, BMSCE will be around 18k, whereas in private Engg colleges will be around 50k per annum.
In KCET, 50% marks of PCM / PCB for Engg / Medical is considered from 12th board exam and 50% from KCET paper. Whereas, COMEDK give no importance to 12th board exam marks for computing.
Eligibility Criteria for Engineering courses
Candidates are eligible to apply for COMEDK UGET if they fullfill the following eligiblity criteria:
The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.
Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list.
Eligibility Criteria for Architectural courses
Candidates are eligible to apply for COMEDK UGET 2019 if they:
The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to B. Arch course is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained atleast 50% marks in aggregate (45% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka.
The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for both General Merit and Category students.
COMEDK UGET Application Form 2019
Candidates can register for the exam through online mode on the official website.
The COMEDK UGET application form 2019 has been issued from 16th January 2019.
Candidates can fill & submit the application till 19th April 2019.
Candidates also have to upload their photograph, signature, signature of Father/Guardian & unique ID proof.
Keep the print copy of the filled application for future use.
There is no need to send an application by post or, any other methods.
Application Fee:The application fee is Rs. 1500 + Convenience charge/fee as applicable. The fee can be paid by Credit card/Debit Cards/Internet Banking.
COMEDK UGET Exam Pattern
The exam pattern details are given below:
Exam Mode: The examination will be held in online mode (computer-based test).
Duration: The exam duration will be 3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
Medium: The question paper will be asked only in the English language.
Number of Questions: Total 180 multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.
Total Marks: The question paper will be of 180 marks.
Marking Scheme: One mark will be given to the candidates for a correct response.
Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.

Prepare a timetable in such manner, so that each subject will get equal time for preparation.
Clear your basic concept first, then study for the hard questions.
Try to solve last year question papers & sample papers.
Eat healthy food & stay fit. Also, take proper sleep during exam preparation.
COMEDK UGET Counselling 2019
The authority will organize a centralized counselling for admission to the engineering & architecture courses.
The COMEDK UGET 2019 counselling will be started in the month of June 2019. It will be conducted in offline mode.
Candidates, those seeking admission into B.Arch course, they have to submit a separate application for counselling. It will be made available before counselling.
The documents will be verified first by the counselling authority. For document verification, candidates have to pay the counselling fee through online mode.
