CENTAC 2019: Application Form, Eligibility, Admission Dates & Process

CENTAC 2019 is a Centralized Admission Committee which is formed to fill the professional degree seats in the colleges that comes under the UT of Puducherry. The admission procedure will be managed by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. There will be no entrance exam conducted for offering admission in UG courses from 2015 onwards. Through admission process, candidates can get admission in the engineering and various medical courses. Candidates can get the complete details of CENTAC 2019 in this article.

CENTAC 2019 Eligibility Criteria

To eligible for any degree course, candidates should fulfill all the requirements for admission prescribed by the Pondicherry University or other deemed universities.

Eligibility Criteria of CENTAC 2019
Nationality :

The candidate should be the Indian citizen. However, the French Nationals residing in UT of Puducherry can also apply

Domicile:

A candidate is considered to belong to the UT of Puducherry, if he/she has the domicile certificate.

Qualification Criteria: For MBBS/BDS/B.V.Sc/A.H./B.P.T.

Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed the HSC/12th examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other recognized board.

Minimum Marks: It is necessary to score minimum of 50% marks (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates) in aggregate.

Subjects: The applying candidate should pass the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, Botany and Zoology along with English subject.

For MBBS/BDS/B.V.Sc/A.H./B.P.T.

For B.Tech

Qualifying Exam: The candidates studying/passed the HSC/12th examination from a recognized board are eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must have minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).

Subject: Physics & Mathematics are mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science subjects.

For B.Pharma

Qualifying Exam: The candidate should clear the 10+2 from a recognized board. Appearing candidates can also apply.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must have minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

Subject: Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science subjects.

For B.A.M.S.

Qualifying Exam: The candidate must pass the 12th standard examination from a recognized board

Minimum Marks: Candidates must have minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

Subject: Physics/Chemistry/Biology/English are the necessary to have in qualifying exam. Appearing candidates can also apply.

CENTAC Application Form 2019

Candidates should read the guidelines given below in order to fill the CENTAC 2019 online application form.

  1. The candidates can apply only through online mode.
  2. The hard copy of filled-in application form should be sent to the official authority.
  3. The application form filling process will be started from the third week of May 2019.
  4. Application will be continued till the last week of May 2019.
  5. The candidates those wish to apply for LL.B course should fill the separate application form.
  6. While filling the application form, candidates should provide the valid mobile number.
  7. Candidates must upload the scanned image of photograph of 20 KB to 25 KB in JPG format only.
  8. The completed application form signed by the candidate, with all necessary enclosures should be send by post/courier or in person to the address given below:

Application Fee:

  1. The application fee can be deposited only through online mode.
  2. The fee can be paid through Credit cards/Debit cards/NEFT.
  3. The fee can be paid through Credit cards/Debit cards/NEFT.
  4. For one course: Rs. 600/- (for SC/BT Rs. 300/-)
  5. For two courses: Rs. 900/- (for SC/BT Rs. 450/-)
  6. For three courses: Rs. 1200/- (for SC/BT Rs. 600/-)
  7. For B.A. LL.B (5 years): Rs. 600/- (for SC/BT Rs. 300/-)

CENTAC 2019 Merit List

The admission in all courses except MBBS and BDS will be provided on the basis of merit list prepared by the CENTAC. The authority will provide the separate rank to the candidates by adopting the normalization method.

For all biology-based degree courses, the admission will be offered on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the prescribed subjects in the previous examination.

In case, two candidates will get the same rank in the common merit list, then the inter-se-merit list will be prepared in the order of the priority. The CENTAC 2019 merit list will be published in the third week of July 2019.

CENTAC Counselling 2019

The candidates have to attend the counselling on prescribed date and time on the day of counselling. The dates for the counselling will be sent through SMS, E-mail and will also be published on the official website. The counselling will be conducted through online mode in which candidates can fill the option for colleges and courses as much as they can. After one week, the CENTAC will publish the selection list for provisional admission. The candidates can download the allotment letter on the same day of publication from the website. Candidates have to bring all the original certificates along with one set of photocopies of all the documents.

The candidates also have to submit the counselling fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 350 for SC/BT) drawn in favour of, The Convenor, CENTAC and payable at Puducherry. Candidates can also pay the fee in cash.

CENTAC Admission 2019

The admission in the MBBS & BDS seats will be offered only on the basis of NEET 2019 score card.

The authority will publish the seat allotment result after completion of the first round of counselling. After each round of the counselling, the authority will release the vacant seat matrix on their website.

Candidates have to download the allotment letter and report to the allotted college for admission within prescribed time period of admission.

If candidates will not get admission on prescribed date and time, their admission will be cancelled and they will not allowed to participate in the subsequent counselling.
